You can use tools like [mysqldump](http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.1/en/mysqldump.html) and [mongodump](http://docs.mongodb.org/manual/reference/program/mongodump/). > Please perform a backup of your codebase if you don't use any VCS. ## Catalog Bundle & Component We've extracted following classes and interfaces from the Catalog bundle to the Catalog component: - model interfaces and classes as ProductInterface - repository interfaces as ProductRepositoryInterface - builder interfaces as ProductBuilderInterface In v1.4, we've re-worked the file storage system, the model `Pim\Component\Catalog\Model\ProductMediaInterface` is not used anymore, we now use `Akeneo\Component\FileStorage\Model\FileInfoInterface`. In v1.5, we've removed the following deprecated classes, interfaces and services: - `Pim\Component\Catalog\Model\ProductMediaInterface` - `Pim\Component\Catalog\Model\AbstractProductMedia` - `Pim\Component\Catalog\Model\ProductMedia` - `Pim\Bundle\CatalogBundle\Factory\MediaFactory` and `@pim_catalog.factory.media` - `Pim\Bundle\CatalogBundle\MongoDB\Normalizer\MediaNormalizer` - `Pim\Bundle\TransformBundle\Normalizer\MongoDB\ProductMediaNormalizer` - `PimEnterprise\Bundle\WorkflowBundle\DependencyInjection\Compiler\RegisterProductValuePresentersPass` - `PimEnterprise\Bundle\WorkflowBundle\Presenter\ProductValue\BooleanPresenter` - `PimEnterprise\Bundle\WorkflowBundle\Presenter\ProductValue\DatePresenter` - `PimEnterprise\Bundle\WorkflowBundle\Presenter\ProductValue\FilePresenter` - `PimEnterprise\Bundle\WorkflowBundle\Presenter\ProductValue\ImagePresenter` - `PimEnterprise\Bundle\WorkflowBundle\Presenter\ProductValue\ProductValuePresenterInterface` - `PimEnterprise\Bundle\WorkflowBundle\Twig\ProductValuePresenterExtension` We've also removed the following requirements from composer.json, you can do the same in your project: ``` "knplabs/gaufrette": "0.1.9", "knplabs/knp-gaufrette-bundle": "0.1.7" ``` As usual, we provide upgrade commands to easily update projects migrating from 1.4 to 1.5. Don't use anymore : ``` "doctrine/mongodb-odm": "v1.0.0-beta12@dev", "doctrine/mongodb-odm-bundle": "v3.0.0-BETA6@dev" ``` And don't forget to add your own dependencies to your *composer.json* in case you have some. Merge the following files into your PIM installation: - *app/AppKernel.php*: We added the Pim *Localization bundle*. We merged some Oro Platform bundles in our structure. The easiest way to merge is to copy the PIM-1.5 *AppKernel.php* file into your installation (`cp app/AppKernel.php $PIM_DIR/app/`), and then register your custom bundles. Don't forget to register *DoctrineMongoDBBundle* in case your products are stored with *MongoDB*. - *app/config/routing.yml*: we have added the entries *pim_localization* and merged some entry from Oro bundles. The easiest way to merge is copy the PIM-1.5 *routing.yml* file into your installation (`cp app/config/routing.yml $PIM_DIR/app/config/`), and then register your custom routes. - *app/config/config.yml*: the entry *pim_catalog* has been added. The easiest way to merge is copy the PIM-1.5 *config.yml* file into your installation (`cp app/config/config.yml $PIM_DIR/app/config/`), and then register your own bundles' configuration. Then remove your old upgrades folder: ``` rm upgrades/ -rf ``` Now you're ready to update your dependencies: ``` cd $PIM_DIR composer update ``` This step will also copy the upgrades folder from `vendor/akeneo/pim-community-dev/` to your Pim project root to allow you to migrate. Then you can migrate your database using: ``` php app/console doctrine:migration:migrate ``` ## Partially fix BC breaks If you have a standard installation with some custom code inside, the following command allows to update changed services or use statements. **It does not cover all possible BC breaks, as the changes of arguments of a service, consider using this script on versioned files to be
